If Xecuter makes a crappy BIOS, why's everybody trying to hack the X3 BIOS to work on other chips, but not the Xenium OS to work on the X3?

I thaught that the X3 BIOS wouldn't boot or show video without the entire LPC being soldered properly. No other modchip uses the higher pins on the LPC so shouldn't the X3 BIOS fail to boot for the sake of a few pins missing on the LPC?

While I'd be more likely to <cringe> at the sight of Opera, for newsreaders I use GrabIt (www.shemes.com) or NewsLeecher (www.newsleecher.com). GrabIt is free but NewsLeecher handles large groups better.

Only on the 1.0 version as I think that had a 1Mb TSOP .

Google doesn't carry binary groups - you need to look at either your ISP, or a subscription server. People get up in arms over p*rn websites - lucky they don't look at binary newsgroups

i hope there is at least a x2 bios with 1.6 finally released. i think this groups released this because plainly the evox m8 bios is gayer than richard simmmons in hotpants. i have it for when i get my :gasp: xenium chip (i got it for free and dont have the 60 for a x3 college sucks so no complaining to me about the chip) so i can use it on my currently unmodded 1.6. if the box hadnt of been a 1.6 it would already have a x2 bios on it, which honestly is the best bios around no questions asked

so yeah im sorry if i cant afford to buy a x3 but i think if executer comes out and releases a 1.6 x2 bios (whic i may add they said they would) it would stop this hacked bios, but just in case that doesnt happe i still have the evil hacked bios so i can avod running M8 ever

hey guys, just for your info, this hacked x3 bios will work fine on other modchips that dont utilize the full lpc because its not the bios thats dependent on it, its the Config Live tool.

i dont really have a problem with it, ive always been loyal to team xecuter, and honestly, this is nothing more than "immitation being the ultimate form of flattery"

we should take pride that someone would go as far as to try to dissect, and make availible to the masses a product that proves in itself to be far superior than anyother.

only other real positive use would be (if this is acutally a stable bios build) the ability to use it on your x2 chips in 1.6 box's. mainly as a hold over untill we get something concrete from team x.

if xecuter really felt that evox m8 failed to work properly, they would speed up the work on the new x2 bios, this has been posted many times. The scene has something that works. There are edited versions with xblive block, IGR, lba48, etc, matching the feature list of the x2 bios.

If you want to make your posts look a little more intelligent, you could leave out your homophobic and anti-<insert several groups here> comments. Just my 2 cents.

i had a feelin that news post was gonna start some huge discussions. i'm sure someone has probably said this before but if other company's trash the x3 and it's bios why do they work so hard to crack the bios so it can be used on their chips? i'm just waiting to see if xecuter has anything to say about this news post.
