Hi chaps,

I would like some advice please if anyone can help.

I have a trusty old X360USB (not pro) and Connectivity Kit 2, which I bought back in the day and used DOS flashing utilities with it. Until now, this has served me well flashing my Hitachi 59. However, I had difficulties with LT+ 2.0, so I used a SATA port I put on the front of my PC (NVIDIA mobo) and used the connectivity kit to power the drive and put it into Mode B. The 59 flashed very easily after returning to stock first (latest Jungleflasher).

My question is this, will the Connectivity Kit 2 work ok with Liteons please as I have my brother's and nephews to flash once LT+ 3.0 is out?

They are currently flashed to 1.9 and 2.0 respectively and done by someone else. One was a 8 series and the other 9 but with 13599 dashboard on both, I suppose they are now considered 02510C drives.

I do have the keys for both of these Liteons.

If not, I will buy the CK3 pro or CK3 Mini when out and I presume the SATA using NVIDI chipset should still be ok? Or should I buy the newer X360USB Pro too?

Is vendor mode like Mode B please? I can't quite work that one out. I have been out of flashing etc for a while and I am not getting any younger, so lots have changed.

On a side note:
I haven't been able to find out why no one has CK3 Blasters in stock in the UK. They look cool. Are they new?

Thanks in anticipation.

as long as you have the key you wont need the ck3, you just hit liteon erase and flash LT3 with the key.
if the drives detected fine the first time, they still will..

mode-b is relevant to hitachi only, but AFAIK they can be considerd the same.

Thx for your help. I didn't flash these drives myself. However, since my Hitachi showed up on my PC using the NVIDIA SATA, I presume these drives will. I suppose I can try the Connectivity Kit 2 and if the drives don't get recognised, buy the CK3 Pro. I wasn't sure if I needed to get them into vendor mode to get them recognised by Windows like you do mode B with Hitachis.
