Xecuter CoolRunner QSB Slim v3 Corona

ive been reading loads and ordered myself xecuter corona postfix adapter tx, xecuter j-r programmer v2 and the new xecuter slim proto v2 tx so i can sort my sons new v5 slim 360, will i also need to buy the Xecuter CoolRunner QSB Slim v3 Corona? or can i solder the slim proto v2 straight to the board

You can just solder the wires directly.

You don't ever *need* to install QSBs, but since the POST QSB is included in the package, why don't you install it?
