The Xecuter Product Support Rules & Guidelines are here to make the forum a more productive environment. We will not accept lazy people who want to have their hands held and spoon fed everything. We have worked hard on guides and tutorials to make this easy for you. The members and staff that use the forums are here on a voluntary basis and are not paid by Team Xecuter. There are thousands of experienced members who are happy to help you.

THE TEN GOLDEN RULES are simple and easy to understand. They are also strict and ones that get broken most often due to users either being too lazy to read, too ignorant to understand or simply do not give a sh*t. We respectfully request that you read and understand these rules and hopefully by sticking to them, the community will be a much better place for it.

#1 NO PIRACY TALK
We are serious - none whatsoever. This includes no talking about downloading games, release groups, warez, newsgroups, torrents, files sharing or anything else to do with piracy. We understand that backing up your original to protect your investment is allowed in some countries, so this is allowed. However discussing anything regarding backing up an original that you do not own is theft and piracy and is not allowed !

#2 NO ILLEGAL LINKS
This includes hacked firmware, hacked nands or anything compiled with the XDK or anything else that is covered by some form of copyright. There are plenty of forums and websites that host that type of stuff - this is not one of those sites for obvious reasons. We expect you to have a small amount of common sense and understand why this is not allowed here.

#3 XECUTER PRODUCTS ONLY
This forum is an Xecuter product Support Forum. We only give support and advice to users who have purchased and are using our products. If you are using another companies products then you are welcome to read our forums to get your answers but you may not directly ask questions regarding those products. If you need to do that then you should ask the company who manufactured the products you require help with.

#4 READ & SEARCH FIRST
The forum is an extensive archive of questions and answers. We also have a very detailed guides & tutorials section that answer pretty much every question you could possible have. We find it very rude when members post questions that have been answered a hundred times before. It shows that they have not searched for the answer and are either lazy and want to be spoon fed, or that they have complete disregard for the very rules that you are reading right now.

If you can't find the answer then that's fine, simply state that you have already looked when making your post. We are here to help people, not only to give advice but to educate them on helping themselves.

#5 NO THREAD HI-JACKING

Please do not reply to another person's support thread unless you want to help or have information that can help. If you reply to someones thread and it has nothing to do with their problem, this is called THREAD HI-JACKING and is frowned upon by the entire community. Unless you want to help the original poster with his or her problem do not reply in that thread. If you require support create your own thread.

#6 POST IN THE CORRECT FORUM
if you have an RGH problem, post in the RGH forum. If you have a firmware problem, post in the firmware forum. It's not rocket science folks.

#7 NO MINI MODDING
We do not need anyone to mini-mod other members.

Q: Just what is mini-modding ?

Mini modding is a member who is intending to be a moderator/staff member and in fact they aren't, with answer's like this should be locked, wrong place etc.. that is a mini modding post.

Q: What do I do if I think a post is incorrect or wrongly placed or if a member is breaking the rules because I want to help the community
.

Simply report the post by hitting the report button
and give the reasons for reporting. A member of staff will then take care of it. It is totally confidential and you don't need to be involved at all.

#8 NO PERSONAL ATTACKS
In order to maintain a positive atmosphere, no personal attacks or insults will be tolerated. While discussions may become heated, it is not an excuse to result to attacks or insults. There is a difference between a passionate, respectful discussion and one that delves into personal matters. Think of it as debating issues, not individuals. When the line is crossed, the discussion may be closed by the moderation team. Violators will be warned and potentially banned.

#9 NO TROLLING
Do not post provocative, outrageous, or pointless messages only to get a response from others, i.e. "trolling." Repeat violators will be permanently banned.

Lastly, if it is abundantly clear that a user has no intention of positively contributing to discussions, combined with an abrasive, combative attitude, they will be banned. Users must demonstrate an interest in contributing meaningful input. In other words, users who wish to do nothing but argue scene bullshit or other non-support issues are not welcome as they do nothing to contribute to the site and are not worth the trouble and headaches.

#10 STAFF HAVE THE FINAL WORD
If you have a problem or a complaint, direct it to the administrators and/or moderating staff, not to the forums. The appropriate actions will be taken. We reserve the right to ban any user when deemed necessary, with or without prior warning.

On a final note, while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

INFRACTION SYSTEM EXPLAINED

We have an infraction system in place for members who break the above rules that includes punishments ranging from 1 day timeout to permanent ban.

It's pretty straight forward......

Lack of pictures when requesting help: 5 Points (Expires 7 Days) (RGH and Jtag)
Mini-Modding: 5 Points (Expires - 7 Days)
Thread Hi-Jacking: 5 Points (Expires - 7 Days)
Posting In The Wrong Section:
5 Points (Expires - 7 Days)
Being Abusive: 10 Points (Expires - 7 Days)
Ignoring Forum Rules: 10 Points (Expires - 7 Days)
Posting Garbage: 10 Points (Expires - 7 Days)
Advertising Without Permission: 20 Points (Expires - 7 Days)
Piracy Talk: 20 Points (Expires - 7 Days)
Duplicate Accounts / Ban Evading: 50 Points (Expires Never)

10 Points: 24 Hour Ban
20 Points: 1 Week Ban
30 Points: 1 Month ban
40 Points: 6 Month Ban
50 Points: Lifetime Ban

Infraction Expiry Explained

If you receive a 5 point infraction, that will stay on your record for 7 days. If you receive another 5 point infraction on the 6th day of your first infraction then the time resets to 7 days and you would now have 10 points (and a 24 hour ban)

These rules are super simple to follow and are for the good of the community. Sticking to them is EASY.

NEW!

Infraction for picture requirements.

  • If you have fitted any hardware we require pictures of any soldering to rule out any installation issues caused by the installer.
  • Pictures MUST be clear and show the points you soldered to.
  • You dont need a pro camera to take a clear picture use the macro function (picture of a flower in the settings) to get in close.
  • a blurry picture will not help anyone use a light to get a clear image.
