Xecuter install questions

Hey guys,

Im wondering if someone can remove some of my confusion regarding an X3 install. My mate has an xbox crystal LE (v1.6 i believe). He wants to have the X3 mod done to it and have the HDD upgraded. I am quite handy with electronics and flashing roms and so forth, and feel quite comfortable following the instructions on the teamxecuter web site to install the chip.

My questions are:

Once the X3 is installed, what happens next? Does the bios need to be flashed? At what stage can the new HDD be installed? Is there anything that needs to be transferred of the original HDD onto the new one? Where does the Evox dashboard come into play?

Sorry for all the stupid questions. As i said, i have a strong knowledge on electronics and pc's, just very limited xbox exposure...

If anyone could help, that would be great.

Hi

You can install the X3 chip put in a new HDD at the same time
Once the X3 is installed you should get the flash bios screen.Easy way is to flash over network (make sure you have downloaded the correct bios first)Open up internet explorer and type in the IP address that comes up on the flash screen once you select enable flash from network.make sure you have internet connection sharing enabled.
Once done install your Dash. Look for the Slayer v2.6 easy to use boots straight from xbox dvd rom.This will then run and do all the partitions etc...
comes with most things that you will need.

you can go to slayers.xbox-scene.com and download their tutorial and autoinstaller. the autoinstaller will do all the work for you! That's right...you can kick back and relax...and let the installer do all the work. if you download their doc on how to use their installer, they will give you step by step instructions on how to upgrade your harddrive and install the dashboards.

Flashing 9435oc - What cables do you leave connected..

What cables need to be connected to the liteon 9345oc at time of flashing?

Just sata and power?

Or do you need to reconnect the other 3 cables (small latches) before flashing??


Seen some tuts where people completely assembled the drive before flashing, and others that just left it wide open this is why i am asking...

I believe it is just the sata and power however I have not flasahed a 9345OC so... yeah
