Using a multimeter, I found out that the switch use for enabling the mod is the defective one, Since I don't have a spare switch and still want to see those LEDs on my box, I experiment a little bit...I by-passed the defective switch and used the middle one which is for flash protect and 5v out, I removed the flash protect wire and just connected it permanently to wire #4 which is ground. I then put the 2nd wire which is the "enable" in place of the flash protect so I have now a working 2.6ce switch. The only feature that is missing is the flash protect on and off but everything else is working...:)

bjbcartmen has been directed to the 2.3/2.3b switch thread that is linked in my sig, and received more answers in the thread started in the X2.x Pro forum. http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37982

Just so the question doesn't get left "open" here...

To avoid confusion this shows the order of the pins on the X2.6CE socket:

I cannot confirm but I believe this should be the same on the X2.6 switches. If anyone that has one of these can pull one out and do a quick test with a multimeter it would be much appreciated.

Why I pointed to the back of the socket, I don't know. You get the idea.

I am interested in doing this myself and
Just wondering if you ever got the "5v out" from 2.6CE Switch to the 2.3 chip?

Ok, so i have somehow lost me 2.6 ce switchbank, the xbox has been in the cupbaord for a while. So i found this thread. Shall i just cut the plastic holder holding the 8 wires in place and tie 1 and 4 together, and tie 5 and 6 togethr to make it work???

ok well, i presumed i was correct in saying that = however all ym xbox ever does is error 16 with no disk in, with a disc in , error 5. And i am sure its wired correctly - so wot do i do now?

The xbox has been unplugged for around 4 months, if this has anything to do with error 16..but i dont know from here how to fix.
