NEED HELP

There is a blue light on the chip and only one light on the switch is green It frags and turns on/off 3 times and is red/green. Now they've tried to delete the solderless adapter and do regular install and now they're having more problems then they started with.

if your box is fragging with the chip disabled then you should remove the chip and header, and get your box working back to stock
only after you've got it back to normal, before any chip was installed, then attempt to install the chip

do you get any error codes when your box frags?

LPC rebuild

I read in one thread that no matter which install method(regular or solderless) that with the Xecuter 2.6 CE w/ solderless Xaptr3 and a v1.6b xbox u have to do the lpc rebuild ..... Then in another thread it said with the solderless xaptr3 that the lpc rebuild isnt done?????? which one is it and if we already did it could that be why its fragging?

Hope this post will help you out with your FRAG problem. I have the same setup as you. that is 2.6CE with Xapt3r. The important poitn to note here is my Xapt3r is called Xapt3r for v1.6 because my xbox is v1.6. Go to www.xecuter.com.au, click on Xbox Accessories and make sure that you have the right one for your 1.6b box.
Assuming that you did get the right Xapt3r for your box, you should get all 5 lights (LEDs) lighted up when you power on the xbox (don't worry about installing the 2.6CE chip yet). If you don't have 5 leds, my guess is that you've not installed a "leg" correctly.
Once you have the 5 leds as mentioned, put in the 2.6CE, connect up the supplied external switch. Don't forget to connect up the Alt 5V red cable also. Do connect up the DVD and HDD drive to the IDE cable also.
1. Set the external switch setting to "Chip Disabled" and see if you can boot into the normal XBox dash or not. If yes then proceed to step 2.
2. Set the external switch setting to "Chip Enabled", since you have 1.6b, you should set the switch to "Bank 2" since by default, 2.6CE comes with 3.0.3 which work for 1.6b. If FRAG then:
- Check that you have a blue light on the 2.6CE. If yes then I think that you've connected the D0 point to the chip correctly. If not then I think that you have to go back and check that you've put the Xapt3r legs into the correct holes.

I can't really recommended anything else to you but if my post does not help, revisit this Forum and post more questions. I'd really recommend you to be mroe specific with your problems though. You get much better/faster responses from experts if they can understand what it is that you're doing. Things like:
- xbox version, ship version, xapter version, leds that you see/can't see, error message, switch bank position etc ...

Get some solder braid. I would suggest getting some practice in first. You can very easily damage the motherboard while removing solder.

You could damage traces with too much heat is the most common thing.

How bad is the damage?
