Just wondering, but does anyone have an idea of why alot of results are getting spikes at the beginning of the test?

Drive - Liteon iHAS124B
Burn Speed - 2.4x
Smartburn - ON
Force Hypertuning - ON
Online Hypertuning -ON
Overspeed - OFF
OPC - ON

SATA - AMD SB7000 (onboard)

Any Ideas to why the spike at the end? I hit start and walked away from PC while burning. Previous burn was done with the same setting but with OPC Off and imgburn gave a L-EC Uncorrectable error at 93%.

Are the rest of your settings for your drive off? That image you uploaded is really nice!

I was recieving the same results from my backups when using MKM001 Singapore Verbs... (the rising spikes at the end of the second layer of the disc)

As I have learned, and as has been posted in another forum, try the following:

Download MediaCodeSpeedEdit and load up the iXtreme Burner Max firmware. Set MKM-001 discs to burn using the write speed of the MKM-003 Verbs (4x, 6x, 8x).

This enables you to burn the MKM-001 discs at 4x with OPC enabled. I have been getting 'perfect' discs doing this.

This is a link to the discussion about burning MKM-001's at 4x with OPC enabled: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74097

Again, remember that you need to download MediaCodeSpeedEdit to change the iXtreme Burner Max fw so that you can burn at 4x on MKM-001's.

Hey I thought I'd share my results using my Memorex disks. This is my 3rd try and finally got no errors for both the image burn verify and Kprobe verify. the burns got progressively better as i keep combing all the tips and tricks i read. The biggest trick was to make sure the backup game was on the same hard drive as windows 7. I also changed my book type to dvd-rom using Kprobe.

PC INFO:
windows 7 64x
AMD quad core 2.3 ghz
Gateway PC

DISK INFO:

DVD:
Liteon iHAS 124 B

Motherboard:
Manufacturer - ECS
Model - GeForce 8000 series

SATA: Onboard
OS: Win 7 x82
Driver: ASPI
Media: Verbatim MKM-003 Singapore
Speed: 4x (OPC on)

Smartburn: EEPROM Enabled
Force Hyper Tuning: EEPROM Enabled
Online Hyper Tuning: EEPROM Enabled

Closed all background programs I could, defragged my drive, and disabled antivirus. Didn't even touch the mouse during burning or testing. It looks almost perfect, except for the PIF Max being 5 instead of 4. Would this still be "okay"? I guess the only thing there is left for me to do is mess with the EEPROM settings for the next few burns.

ok i did what you recomended and got even worse, it went up to 300 PImax, but i did not save the grafic, then i did another burn at the original setting and got a new chart a better one but and the end the same problem rising up, only to 30 max this time, in conclussion i dont know what makes a better burn every one seems to have they singular behavior

Great results. Should be better if the speed test set to 4x instead of "max".

These are much better than before the format and reinstall ones ?

DVD: Liteon iHAS 124 B
Macbook Pro

SATA: USB 2.0 Enclosure
OS: Win 7 x64 (Bootcamp)
Media: Verbatim MKM-003 (Singapore!)
Speed: 4x (OPC on)
Imgburn: default settings (except increased the buffer a little)

Smartburn: EEPROM Enabled
Force Hyper Tuning: EEPROM Enabled
Over Speed Tuning: EEPROM Disabled
Online Hyper Tuning: EEPROM Enabled

I uninstalled SPTD.
Ran windows in safe mode.
Cleared OPC before each burn.
Defraged before each burn.
And never touched the mac while burning.

So here are Batman AC and Disc1 of BF3, and I think they look pretty good.
