Question to: DJBOOBY

Box 1
Bin: x3 3924 (Newist one, not 1.6 bin)
Dip Switch: on on off off off
Write enabled becasue it erased and started to program

Box 2
off on off off off when flashing
x3 3294 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
Write enabled caused it erased and started to program

I did mine though http, erased nice and fast, and started to update very fast but stalled 1/4. I waited 30mins and still same spot. Being newbie I turned it off. Now that bank fragged but good news since I have two and I believe the emergency bank, I was able to boot second bank and worked fine.

My question since bank one is fragged can I boot bank two and when its loaded flick the dip switchs over to bank one and reprogram?

Secon question: how long shoud the write take for any bios?

Third colors while writing on my box was flash green/orange

I would appriciate your help thanks

hey,

I modded my xbox V1.1 with a xecuter 3.0 ce chip, but i have some questions: I was able to flash my bios but I can't play any normal dvd's, isn't my xbox supposed to do that now? And WHAT are banks??

Please somebody help me!

zembla, banks are the "containers" for the X3's BIOSes. In total there is 2MB of flash memory available to the user. When flashing to either ON, ON, OFF, OFF or OFF, ON, OFF, OFF you are using a 1MB bank (the standard size of an X3 BIOS). Using different combos of the buttons allows different banks to be switched between and, therefore different capacities.

The X3 will not play DVD's by itself. You need a dashdoard like XBMC or the like to play them.
