...DAY FOUR...

My Xenon is from 2005 and has a CB version 1921 which is compatble with the jtag hack.

1. I Wired the LPT and the Jtag and proceeded to dump my nand.
2. I got 3 copies with no errors using nandpro.
3. I Checked that they were the same in total commander.
4. I Opened it in Degraded v1.1. - No errors, all was good. CB 1921
5. I Installed Xell and system turns on but i get no screen
6. I Installed Origanal nand back and booted fine.
7. I repeated 5. and 6. with same results again.
8. I did the injecting and installed XBR and booted and still a blank screen
9. I Installed Origanal nand back and booted fine.

why cant i get it to boot xell or anything?
It Read Orginanl nand and wrote back on...
im stumpped as this is my first jtag
ive done 3 dvd drives in the past.

Ive triple check the soldering and which seems really good and tried multiple copies of xell and xbr as well as multiple times..

The jtag hack i used was the 2 diodes and the bridge.
Should i switch it to the 3 resistor method?

try a different tv or av cable, not hdmi cable no problem on a xenon.

Did you remember to boot xell by pressing the eject-button instead of the usual power button?

For the bridge between j2d2.4 and j2d2.7, use a 100ohm 1/4w (0.25w) resistor instead of just a wire bridge, orientation of the resistor shouldnt matter, this will fix your black screen on boot.

Can i use a 100ohm 1/2w (.5w) resistor as i have one here or do i need to wait till tomorrow to go get a 1/4w one?

to make sure were talking about the same blank screen its like it boots but like no a/v signal = blank

Load up your NAND dump into degraded and 360 flash tools and capture their screens then post here so I could have a look.

This did not work!
Rubbish, I have used that fix many times with success!
Maybe it didnt work for you, however who says you even did it right?
It could be bad blocks in your nand, make your freeboot image using bestpig tool, flash with xellous so it auto remaps for you, done deal!

If all you had to do was use a different TV then then there was no problem with 360 to fix in the 1st place ;) It was your TV all long ...
