I've a xenon jtag'd board and when running Xell via the eject button I cant see the CPU keys, it only gets as far as:

Code:
TFTP: No answer from server, retrying
10 tries exceeded aborting
tftp result: -2
* try booting from CD ROM
! ERROR after CDB [00], err:24
! error after reading responce
! read sector failed
! sense: 023a00
! failed to read PVD
* HTTP Listen
* Xell network config: 10.0.120.209 / 255.255.255.0
I was going to use coolshrimp to update the dashboard but was slightly concerned by this. Any idea as to why this is happening?

Rewrite XeLL, then update it to XeLLous. See if this fixes your problem.

Maybe. Just build another image for your box and update. Jut choose the xellous options in someting like jtag tool

You could, but you still need your CPU key to recompile the new freeboot image.

I have the CPU Key on a .txt from previous dashboard updates. I just happen to boot Xell today and noticed it wasnt completing and was worried it would affect the upgrade.

On a seperate note I'm using:

SMC Point: Original (as it looks like the 2 diode method)

Dash Version: 13599

Freeboot Method: Xellous

Does it matter that Xell is currently installed???

No it doesn't matter. If you got the CPU key then proceed with compiling freeboot 13599 then flash that image to your NAND.

Just to make 100% sure its the right cpu key, should I dump the current NAND via flash360 and run that against the CPU key I have in the "KV info" section of the Jtag Tool?

If it was the wrong key is wouldnt compile the info I assume??

You can compile the image with a bogus key if you wanted, lol. To make sure, load your dump in Jtag Tool. If your key is correct it will show all of the info without any problem. :)
