So i finally got jrunner to read my nands after checking my soldering for several hours (thank baby jesus i literally cried when it worked). Both are the same and i am about to create my Xell-reloaded. Have a quick question on the steps. When i add a dash version which one should i add, and does it matter? Also does it matter that i already have my cr4xl wired up and ready to go? just wondering if this will affect the xell? If not then i can taste the bitter sweet end to my first install. Thank you guys in advance for all your help :)

edit:under dash version i clicked the drop down button and clicked dash 16747 and then "add dash". it then downloaded the needed files but under the dash version it still is unselected.

Write xell, get cpu key, create retail nand, tune boot times. Leave the CR4 in place, as this will be needed to boot xell, and freeboot, and will not effect nand R/W in any way.

you mean create "xebuild nand" (glitch nand) and not retail nand.

Are you rjtagging or rgh2+ ing ?
These are the steps i have taken. I read the original nand, and they both matched up. I then added dash version 16747 clicked aud clamp and R-jtag under Xebuild and clicked Create Xell-Reloaded (was i supposed to click create xebuild image before i did that?) then clicked Write Xell-Reloaded. Everything showed up fine in jrunner log so i disconnected power and hooked it up to a tv. it tried to glitch several times with no success, and then gave me one red ring in the lower right hand corner. While the tv screen displayed E79 error.

ok, select dash dropdown box and select dash (as youve already downloaded it)

make sure aud clamp is selected & rjtag is also selected

I originally wrote xell using no dash because i couldnt get it selected. i tried it and didnt work. i then wrote xell using the way you explained and it gave me the error like i explained earlier. Is it possible to just write over the original i created or is that the reason it is messed up?

Basic J-Runner Instructions

There are for more indepth guides to using J-Runner however is as a simple breakdown of the steps required for the new R-JTAG option:

Note: Minimum dashboard version required is 15574.

1. Read NAND x 2 (compare)
2. Tick R-JTAG check box
3. Select AUD_CLAMP On or OFF depending on JTAG QSB installation
4. Create xell reloaded
5. Write xell reloaded
6. Boot to xell, get cpu key
7. Create JTAG image of newest dash version (ensure R-JTAG is checked)
8. Write nand
9. Use rater to fine tune boot times

Didnt we used to have a nice RGH template for these specific situations? Now it's guessing guessing guessing...
TX Product(s) used: J-R Programmer V1.1
Console Type: Jasper
NAND size: 16
Dashboard version: 16747
CB version:
Screenshot of NAND details from J-Runner:

J-Runner log:

Description of problem: I want to make sure its not a software problem before i check into my soldering. Since i wrote xell to it without a dash selected along with no aud clamp and rjtag selected first and then just created, and reloaded the new xell containing all of them could that cause a problem?

Was the console working before you started: Y

Do you get a green debug light appear on the RGH chip every 4-5 seconds: Y

How long is the light on for each time:couple seconds several times until red light in lower right.

Rjtag with or without AUD clamp needs to be specified when creating xell. The file created should say jasper_audclamp.bin or there abouts if u select aud_clamp. Have u got pics of soldering?

Since i created and wrote xell reloaded once the wrong way (without aud clamp and rjtag selected) before i did it the way that is suggested, could that pose a problem, or can you overwrite directly over it without going back to original?

The first file i wrote was titled jasper.bin. I then realized rjtag and aud clamp werent selected so i just created another and wrote that one which is titled jasper_hack_aud_clamp.bin. was it okay to directly write this one right after i messed up?
