in this photo it looks like the point that should be attacted to the (via?) seems to pull apart from the board. i looked at the rest of my soldering and nothing else seems to be bridged. do i need to attacted a wire from that qsb point to another location?


this is another look at that point.

Sorry bud, thats got to be one of the worst soldering jobs I've seen, and I've seen some. You really need to give it to someone who knows what they are doing.

And for that reason "Im out"

Your soldering is horrible. it also looks like you covered the resistor next to the stby_clk in solder, so I am surprised it boots at all.

Given that your soldering needs some work. Get a multimeter and set to diode check mode if it has one (resistance if not) and check J2D2.1 -- DB1F1, J2D2.2 -- Q2N1 and resistance between J2D2.4 -- J2D2.7.

You definitely lifted that point. Run a wire from that solder ball to DB1F1 or a alternate. A little make shift and jenky, but to be honest, will be right on par with the rest of the way it looks.

and it does metter wich version you will write because other then new dash... some games will not run.
