WOW! All is really all i can say after seeing that little demonstration video on the front page of X-S. That is amazing how they can make it show have of the text on one side and the other half on the other. It *almost* makes me want a xenium. Please PLEASE tell me that Team Xecuter has some sort of awesome mode in the works like that. Im really liking that graphic display with animation capability for 2 lcds at once.

I hope whey wont even start developing anything similar.
Two lcd panels on xbox huh. It is a stupid development in the first place as it wont even fit on the box in any nice way. They would need to be close to its other etc... Well that is my personal opinion. If somebody dissagree thats fine.

Xecuter have still many other promissed add-ons to X3 from a year back which have not yet reached the finnishing development table.

Example power on/off switch with dvd dongle and Hard Drive switch (switching between hard drives).

I realy hope the wont start any new development stuff untill old promisses are filled.

I think they mentioned graphical LCD, not sure about multiple in serial, but it's always a possibility, and it's hard to not think about the possibility of a more advanced LCD, even though that's a ton of programming I dont' think the chip is ready to do. WHo knows. . .

I will say this....the Skryer looks cool.

But...how the heck would you install all those lcds on an Xbox?

I just like the speed it has. I just bought the X3LCD and am happy with it,
but I wish the text scrolling speed could match the Skryer.

Yeah ok, so here is my future project. I plan on making an Xbox case that is made entirely of LCD screens! Who needs plastic? Lets just go for about 50 LCDs!

The other thing to think about also is they do not tell you how easy it is to program it to do those type of things. If the "demo" was the only cool thing like that it could do then it would get really OLD after about the second time too.

Now if it was more functional that would be cool.

Also like everyone else is saying, 1 of those screens looks pretty big (may have to put all 4 ports on one side to fit it. How would you put 2? your only real option would be in the top. blah.

Skryer (crap name btw), was probably recorded connected to a pc, i see no other reason for them to show only the display output, when xecuter showed theirs off, you could tell it was connected to an xbox, until xenium have pictures of it installed in an xbox and running like the demo, it will be pure propoganda to me.
secondly, their graphical display is buggy, some of the lcd in the center is lagged by a whole second.
third and finally, once you get bored of the silly skryer logo spinning around, what will you use it for?, if it ever gets added, the same bloody thing the xlcd does, display information, something which the xlcd does alot clearer.

if i was to ever invest in an lcd panel, i know which i'd choose.

One thing that puzzles me: Why use two LCD's with a silly gap in the middle? Why not just use a bigger LCD?

You guys do realise that the use the two screens anyway you will need two Skryers (more room needed inside the Xbox).

Another observation I made is the big screens may not be solderless as you can see the blue wires running from the parallel LCD port back to the flex PCB socket.

I'm just wondering on the $ you'd have to spend to do something like that demo for your Xbox, 2 x Skryer + 2 x pretty expensive screens and PC case big enough to house 2 big screens. Sure it's impressive that it can be done but I can't see that sort of mod being able to penetrate the market in a big way. I'm suprised Xodus has spent all the time developing that when they could have been doing something more productive (or even getting BFM into XOS like they promised months back) for the scene that would be used by the majority not a small minority in Xodus' "exclusive club" (seems thats what they are trying to market).

it's no secret i like xecuter products and well i don't like xodus at all... i think the quality of product and functionality is much higher with xecuter then xodus. but even i will admit i think the Skryer looks pretty cool. now will it actually work and turn out to be a great mod? that has yet to be seen. (obviously won't be buying one) but i'm kinda curious to see how it turns out.

Hmm,

It looks ok with 2 screens next to each other, but what will these screens show,

If there was a standard way of mounting the screens in an xbox and a LOT of developers wanted to write software that controlled these things, it COULD be quite cool,

Hell, what am I saying, I recon that the only use for these is running the xenium demo that they wrote and maybe use them as a pretty little graphic display in xbmc, anything else would be pointless.

Ill get an XLCD thanks..

Ill get a color flip up LCD. I should start making these kits i could make a ton. Its like a lptop screen that is resessed into the top of the xbox and flips up. 13" LCD that shows what would be on the TV. And there is a Hedphone jack for Headphones or a small pair of speakers.
