Hello, don't have too many post on here. Really thought the day was never gonna come when I was telling the forums about my failure/bad luck. lol
well here goes....
Bought JTAG Xenon board nearly a year ago from a guy that knew a guy type deal. (didnt come with original dump)
I knew Xenon's were prone to RROD but I had to have a JTAG, this was when things just started to blow up for JTAG imo....
The board came with XBR...not sure which version was def not the latest and I'm assuming the board has Xell and not Xellous.
Had fun with it for awhile and of course it Red Ring'd from overheat. Fixed it myself once with just new paste and the X-clamp was already there so put it back together and it worked.....for a week......
Then RR again....got a friend to "re flow" it, supposedly knew someone with a re flow station at a college....dunno...
Got it back played it for a day or so....turned it off for 4 -5 months....Yesterday I tried to boot it up to switch from Xell to Freeboot(without original dump) and got a E79 (1033) first thing.
I have tried everything that I can think of along with about 15 hrs of google to try and fix this thing.
What I've done besides read a novel of forums....
Tried to boot with hdd plugged in...E79
Tried to boot without hdd plugged in..E79
Tried to check with a magnifying glass the solder points(looked ummm...ok)
Tried to boot while holding the sync button..E79
Tried to boot to Xell with hitting eject t turn on while using composite cables..Nothing! Besides E79 error
Tried different dvd cables sata and power..E79
Tried holding down the eject and holding drive closed..E79
I cut the wires to the jtag(yeah i know)...E79 (I did not de-solder any of the joints)
I tried to jerry rig the Jtag wires back in desperation lol...E79 (it looks horrible)
Ummm probably tried more things but you get the point...
Notes: The original Jtag hack before I cut the wires was exactly Like I've seen on many forums and was correct because I have used the Xbox 360 for 6 months at least with home brew.
Any help at all is appreciated and I'm willing to send it to a reputable member if need be depending on cost. Thanks
