I got the unit jtagged as in the guide .
I have J-R programmer , got the unit Nand image , Create Xell reloaded , Write Xell reloaded
When I boot the unit it is looking for the Xenon.elf .
what did I do wrong ? what can I do with this unit . any suggestions would be appreciated .

If it is asking for xenon.elf, then the jtag works, and you need to get the cpu key, and build a new nand image for your console and flash it to it.

thanks gavin_darkglide for the help . I got the cPU key , created Xell Reloaded , Jrunner created an image , and wrote Xell Reloaded , J-runner wrote that image to the Nand . and still no go . I repeated this process 3 times . and still no go .
when you say : " build a new nand image for your console " How do I do this ? and after this what could I do with the unit , I'd like to put 2 TB HDD 3.5" external to it , is this possible ??
Again , thanks for your help .

load original nand dump
choose 16747 dash, or add 16747 dash, then choose it
click jtag bubble.
goto dashlaunch tab, and make sure to include dashlaunch
insert cpu_key if it hasnt been already
click create xebuild image
click write xebuild image, or write updflash.bin via xell
remove power for 30 seconds

It is a fairly simple process. Also it should be mentioned that if you want any newer games to play via disc, you will need to flash the drive with the latest firmware, either stock, or lt+.

Hi !
Thanks for the quick help.
I follow the instruction , everything were fine till try to write the image the error " device not found "
I tried a couple of times but still the same result . but if I try to read Nand it was fine , 4 readings are identical .
Any ideas ??
I would not want to play any game on disc , I'd like to install 2 TB HDD in place of DVD .
Thanks

you need to copy the image you just created (the updflash.bin) and copy it onto a freshly fat32 formatted flash drive. Then stick it in the xbox and press eject to boot up xell, it will find your file and begin flashing it all automatically for you. Then you shut it off when it tells you to, and you're good to go :)

please post photos of your soldering. JTAG requires different settings for different soldering. if you still have problems with building, send me your data, I'll make it

thanks . I followed the process and it went fine . I swear :) I followed and did the same before and somehow the image that J runner created is not right , Xell kept telling me that the image is not the right size . the image that I got from J runner was 1.320 KB , Xell kept telling me that the image was not the right one .
After I followed your step the image NOW got the right name and size 15896 KB , and IT was happy with the image . and WOLA now I can boot straight into the system .
THANKS VERY MUCH .

I always flash the DVD drive with the most recent Lt firmware for the particular DVD drive when I do a fresh (R)jtag install. Might aswell when u've got it all opened up. Glad u got it sorted.
