Hey guys, just finished installing the nand-x and the jtag points.. Everything went well up until the point where I turned on the 360 to see if it all worked. I was following a guide here: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55024
I dumped the nand fine, then I installed the jtag part.. I tried dumping the nand right after with the jtag resistor set to 0, it said it couldn't find a usb controller, so I switched it to 330 and it dumped the nand fine. After that, well:
Do you have an exploitable CB?
Yes, 1903
Did you inject the rawkv.bin into xbr.bin?
Yep
Did you inject the rawconfig.bin into xbr.bin?
Yep
Did you have Bad Blocks in your orig.bin?
None at all to my surprise
I also tried turning on the 360 with each resistor value, no joy. It is a Xenon, according to this guide, it say some Xenons need some kind of other kit called the E79 kit.....? Though I am sure people will say it could be the soldering, and it could be, but it looks alright to me.. I tried to take the best pictures I could, I'll attach them to this post, sorry if it's a little blurry though, I tried macro mode and the damn camera just can't focus on something so small. lol
So, do I need this kit? Or is it the soldering? If it was the soldering, wouldn't it not be able to read the nand? Any help is appreciated, this is my first jtag so be gentle!
Edit:
I flashed it back to the origional nand dump I had, it booted fine, I read it again and saved it, and it was different! :| So I guess I just checked my connections, didn't really do anything.. But then I wrote xbr and read it, then did a compare, it said they matched, and lo and behold it worked fine.. guess it's just my own fault. Oh well. Sorry for the thread guys, I'd delete it if I could.
