Hey guys.
First of all sorry if i waffle on to much, i will eventually get to the point lol
I have a Xenon 6717 dashboard xbox that i jtagged just over a year ago now. Alls been fine and well untill today when my son asked if he could play on it.
Im using the Nand X kit. With Nandpro_20d Software to flash.
Turned it on and got E79 Error. Searched on internet and found out it had something to do with the HDD, removed it and still got the error. So did some more researching and read it could be due to bad Nand Flash or Soldering.
I did the usual.
Put Nand back to stock and tested. Booted straight into Dashboard. So i went ahead and flashed my XBR.bin back onto the Nand, booted it up and greeted by E79 again.
So i checked my soldering. It looked fine but i thought bugger it and de soldered all my QSB's, removed them cleaned the old stuff off and reapplyed them.
Turned it on and again E79.
Took a bump of my Nand to see if that was working ok and i can read and write to the nand, so i know that part of the process is fine.
Took a closer look at the Jtag QSB's.
JTAG J1F1 QSB was seated nicely and the solder was clean but JTAG J2D2 QSB didnt look right. So i removed it again and reseated it, but when i was resoldering the QSB i left the iron on too long and burnt into the QSB removing all the solder in which the board bonds to the motherboard with.
So i now cant get a connection.
My question to the Pro's is.
Should i just but the replacement kit as it worked great for over a year or should i buy the E79 kit since thats now the error im getting??
Thanks in advance.
Photo's added (Remember no actually pictures of the jtag section as they have been removed pending replacements)
