I am just going to apologize in advance if this gets asked a bunch. I have been searching for the last hour and have found so much different information that i figured asking may be worth it.

I have a phat 360 with xenon motherboard and the 17502 dash. From what i see, JTAG is out of the question. What do i need to buy to accomplish this task? I was really hoping it was just a diode like the old guides I have found but when i started digging into it today i realized my dash is way too new.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Meh. i do not really want to buy another box. I am actually a PC gamer. I just mess around on the 360 because a few of my friends still play the classics online. Then again, they are cheap. So the xenon is a no go, like at all?

Yes, it's not worth it. Use it as a coffee warmer

OP head over to teamx360 and in one of the latest posts you will see evidence of a Xenon running freeboot (RGH1.2). It's not impossible although the console itself is unreliable

update:

bought 3 RROD phat's from a friend today for $20 . Fixed all of them. This is what i have

Falcon mobo -15574 Dash
Falcon mobo- 16547 Dash
Xenon mobo - 16203 Dash

I REALLY wanted to JTAG so i would not have to buy a chip but that seems like a no. Which one of these are the easiest to work with?

Yeah ive been reading. There is just a stupid amount of info on here. Old methods, new methods, etc. I KINDA know what to buy but not yet.

Basically, wanna stay on live. I get that it's a risk, but that is really my main goal.

Meh I can solder just fine. Hardware and install isn't an issue. I'm just new to the methods used and this forum is like way over saturated with info, a lot that seems outdated. Want to make sure I am using the latest method to avoid preventable issues.
