Xenon not booting xell?

after xell install with Jtag Tool, my xbox is lifeless...

I've done it 10 different times and I can't get it to work.

I'm using Nand-X wires(not pinheads or QSB)

Xell only takes like 5 seconds to install?
and then when I go to get my CPU key, the xbox acts as if its not even plugged in. I press the power button and nothing happens, not even fans.
I've searched for 2 days and can't find anything about this. please help=/

I can still read and write.
and if I go back to original NAND, it boots to dash.

Xenon with 2006 dash, cb and all others Jtag compatible

have you installed the jtag parts, since they are needed for xell to work

Regardless whether the JTAG is installed or not, the console should still turn on in normal circumstances. You mention that CB and everything is ok, but can you still share those details with us?

Xell shouldn't take more than few seconds to write anyhow as it's only 1.4mb and it takes the first 50 blocks of the NAND memory.

Try a fresh install of JTAG tool before you write xell again, or flash a different version of xell from a different source.

Out of interest, which version of Jtag tool did you use to install xell with?

If it won't turn on it'll be the incorrect SMC = wrong xell image non xenon, probably falcon jasper or something. Ted

I was using Jtag Tool 2.0 and an older one I had. Now updating to 2.01.
I have almost stock 2006 kernel, I dont think its that...
Its for sure a Xenon, If I'm wrong, I'll feel like a complete tard.

My soldering... and jtag qsb's installed.
p.s. The points where i put the jtag board next to the hard drive thing had no solder in them... i could see though it. I dont know it thats normal, just thought that might be worth mentioning

I will be frank, I'm new to jtagging but I'm experienced with other modding things.

I just really wanted to play pokemon games on it=[

EDIT: sorry for the pics, I don't have a cam and had to use my phone

Edit2: forgot to add this.

why the **** does it say bad KV? but yet I can still go to dash if I restore with this one?

It says bad Kv because the key vault files are encrypted and you need to enter the CPU key into 360 flash tools for it to decrypt it.

Try using Jtag tool 1.74 for installing xell (uninstall the latest version, delete the Jtag tool folder completely and then install 1.74 version).

I'm also assuming that you tried the Jtag switch on all positions after you installed xell?

If it won't even power on its a smc issue or a dead short on the board, does the power light on the supply go red or stay orange, if it's red a short on board, if it stays orange then it's a smc issue. Ted

tried all jumpers and such. stays orange. if it was a dead short the I wouldnt be able to read or write anymore. could you explain a smc issue and tell me how to maybe fix it. the first time I installed Xell was with the version you told me to of Jtag Tool.

I'm starting to hate xboxes.....

SMC files contain information for xbox on how to transfer signals, as there are few motherboards revisions out there are different versions SMC's.

So I take it you tried v1.74 of JTAG tool and still no result? Was there any bad blocks in your original dump?

I've never got any bad blocks. My first 3 rips were from the QSBs, but I got E79 for my awful soldering. after attaching straight wires instead of QSBs The nand was the same. I use Nand Compare. or whatever the program was called. Is there anyway to get Xell to work? This "jtagging stuff" has already really gotten on my nerves. My Nand-X was stuck in customs for 2 and a half weeks....

The reason I ask people to use v1.74 is because so far two people had their xbox's not booting up after installing xell using v2.00. Also after closer inspection to the contents of Jtag tool v2.00 folder I could only find one image of xell in there while there should be four of them.

This is got me thinking, if there's only one xell and that is being used for all types of consoles then this will cause some issues as the SMC points for each console are different. so far this is just speculations but we need to confirm it first.

I haven't got v2.10 yet, but you notice any differences between it and v2.00?
