Xenon video issue

Hello all,

I havent used my jtag much because of this issue. I can get it to play in SD just fine but when switched to HD it is just black screen. I have tested th cable and it works fine on another console. Any ideas what could be the issue?

By HD, are you talking about the component cable?

If so, is the switch on the cable set to HDTV?

If it is, have you tried resetting display settings by holding Y and RT as the console is booting?

Im not sure if I have tried that its been a while since I have had this beast out. I will try that. Yes im using the component cable switched to HDTV and just get the black screen upon reboot.

Edit: it will boot fine to sd with the same cable. Also is therea way to play games from disc (backups) with a flashed drive. I press play game and it just brings me back to the start screen.

1. Post a pic as to how you have it connected to your TV.
2. Do originals work?

It will be a bit before i can get a picture posed as im at work for another four hours.But its just a standard hookup (RGB). Hell I have hooked up many things in my 33 years. LOL.

It plays originals to the best of my memory. Its been in the closet for almost a year. Last time I updated just before Black Ops 2 was released. I have never got it to play a burned disk. The same disk plays fine on my retail (flashed) console. I tried Ghosts and same issue just resets to dash.

The drive is a separate issue, to which we'd need to see your XBC rip logs.

Will try and get everything together. I'm thinking of selling at this point. I have two XBOX ONE'S ordered but was thinking of just using it for some older games not going to ONE. Anywho I will try and get everything fixed first anyway.Maybe tomorrow before i get all the logs posted. Thanks for the quick response though. This site is awesome.
