Finished my jasper jtag. I installed freebot and now itts 12611. But when I play xexmenu, it says I should update it yes or no. Is it safe to say yes? Why is there a security update in xex menu?

Are you sure it's asking you for an update or is it when it's signing into your profile it says if you want to use Xbox live you need security updates?
If it's asking to sign onto xbox live just decline and continue using your profile as normal off-line.

It says Update Required. "To proceed, security and programs updates are required. Security updates will be added to ensure security and proper functionality...bla bla. Do you want to accept the update?"
If I choose NO it will go back to the dashboard. What shall I do?

disconnect the lan and try again, if xex boots it's you logging in to xbl. block it on your machine.

I didn't connect it to lan. Is it ok now to say yes? I dont want to lose it after all the efforts that I did

i have had this problem before.
Basically i ripped a game to the hdd using xexmenu and i moved the systemupdate folder to another part of the hdd instead of deleting it.
After i did the above everytime i tried to access xexmenu it kept coming up asking me to update.
The only way i found to get rid of the update is the format the hdd and put xexmenu back on it
