ANSWERED xex menu ftp

i am haveing issues ftp-ing to my jtag, smartftp worked fine last night in both active and pasv mode.. now it gives me error "425 Can't open data connection."

if i type : ftp://192.168.0.107 in firefox i get root dir. but when i click hdd1 it errors again. but if i set address to "ftp://192.168.0.107/hdd1/games" i get games dir.

i cant ping the xbox either but i heard it dosent respond to ping requests...

ive also tried file zilla but it's unable to retrive dir listing of "/" i'm so confused especially considiring my knowledge on ftp witch is close to zero!

anybody knows whats wrong!?

Try another FTP client. I use either CoreFTP or FlashFXP (one from the old Xbox1 days!). Also, check your windows firewall settings...

damn! flash fxp worked like a charm! but why? :S
i would rly like a free ftp client..

edit: oh i forgot win firewall deactivated, i simply hate firewalls...
