xgd3 game & not using lite-on ihas...... imgburn settings?

I am trying to make a backup for a xgd3 game. I am not using the lite-on ihas drive to do this. I am using burnermax payload tool(thank you team xecuter) with a compatible drive. So basically my questions are:

1.Would I need to change the advance settings in imgburn under the "lite-on" tab if im not using a lite-on ihas? I assume not, but i want to make sure. Would this make a difference or not whether I changed those options? (enable/disable force hyper tuning, overspeed etc.)

2. Also I've seen in different tutorials for xgd3 games in imgburn under the write tab in settings with the options "perform opc before write" and "enable burn-proof" sometimes disabled or enabled. Now my question is for both of those options should i leave them enabled or disabled, if i am not using a ihas burner.

3. Can I keep regular xgd3 settings saved in imgburn and create xgd2 backups with those same settings?(I dont want to have to change settings)

That is all, thank you in advance

All the settings u have mentioned are trial and error. What works for one person might not work for u. Once u have decent xgd3 burns then u can just use the same settings for xgd2. That's why people use the sony optiarc 5280s-cb plus drive cos no settings to change and no burnermax firmware/payload needed.

@geek0875: Thank you for your response. I was about to buy that drive off newegg. I am surprised you say question 1 is trial and error though, because I assumed those who aren't using a lite-on ihas burner should leave that tab alone since its for the lite-on burner, but i guess not. Thank you again. Appreciate the help.

thank you and I will, do you mind explaining to me what "perform opc before write" and "enable burn-proof" even mean?

also I know geek said trial and error, but on a first burn would you leave the lite-on advanced settings alone if you ARENT using the lite-on ihas(asking you personally)? ill change them if it dont work, or should this not make a difference

A galaxy far far away....
when using ihas with cfw or burnermax payload the you will need to fine tune the settings that work for YOUR computers setup, what works for me may not work for you, YOUR hardware will depend on the settings that work best for YOU

the sony optiarc is imo the best hassle free option for burning backups

don't forget to post them ABGX, XBC, IMGBurn logs when asking for help with backups
