I have a slim 0225 flashed to 1.92 at the moment and i'm waiting for the lt+2.0. I see alot of people are having problems with XGD3 backups not loading without installing to hard drive. I have not got any XGD3 games yet, my first was going to be gears of war 3 next week. Problem i have is my slim 360 is the 4 gig model with no hard drive. what will my options be.

I don't think it's necessary to put it on hard drive, there're two cases, some people can't play without installing it on hdd and some people just can't install it on hdd, it fails around 45% and they have to play from the disc. lol

you can add a hard drive to it. they have 320gb hdd's for sale on xconsole.com for $44 if u have a x360 usbpro u can format the drive so it will work with ur xbox.
4GB slims have no hard drive in it at all its just all internally.

nah its the x360usb pro, thats all u need. but u will need to download the program and update the firmware on the usb pro
Right so i need slim hard drive case, my usb pro with firmware upgrade and a western digital hard drive. Will only western digital drives work and how do i find out if my usb pro needs a firmware upgrade as i've only had it for about a month and a half.
then u will probably need to upgrade it to 1.8.
there are a few other 2.5" hd drives that are supported but i dont remember where the list is. the best thing to do is to stick with the WD Scorpio Blue

It will if you made a backup from your original using 0800-v3 iv tested it on three 360s now all play from disc and take the GOW3 title update and all install onto hdd no problem.
What i do see around the net is a lot of people using the Pirate rips the ones that was ripped ass ways having problems with playing and installing to hdd, as i said above ripped from the original is working 100% on three different consoles..

open up the X360USB PRO Update Tool v0.12 and click on the help button

I've gone and done it without seeing that in the help. I didnot flick the switch back to off while its updating. Why is that needed to be done.
If you rip your original properly you wont have a problem END OF STORY.
The op`s system doesn`t even have the ability to run xdg3 back ups so why is he worrying now.... press the log out button at the top of the page and go enjoy GOW3 before it gets old.

Good advice there but i still want a hard drive now i've thought about it. Just wandering if its worth buying a hard drive and caddy or just buy one allready made from ebay.
no real need for the caddy buddy just get a WD scorpio blue or black 320gb,250gb or 120gb.
