Alright, So my brother's Xbox(s) have lasers that are kind of going out, so I think they are having trouble playing some backups that use the edge of the disc for some security checks (Batman AC). I have an IHAS burner and they play fine on mine, but not on his. His console is already banned (but still up to Lt3). My question is if the iso is converted to AP25, will it make it easier on his laser to play, and if so, should it burn the same as a normal XGD3 disc (calculate optimal) or force to burn at 1913760 like the old AP25 games?

here are 3 options for you to try, he can do a pot adjustment that could work has it opens the laser more on reading games..
If that fails then replace it, AP25 and XGD3 are harder read so new laser always fix's reading problems for me, plus with Ebay you can get new one for under £5...

If you don't want new laser then Don't burn the edge of disc, If he is already banned then no risk, Buy another Burner "not Ihas" so you have both, That way you can use your Ihas, with verb disc's to burn amazing 100% Live Safe games,
and for your bother Games that lose 2% of the game via No edge burn, The game will be easier read has its a normal burn just written over 2% of data, That 2% shouldn't effect you in completing the game nor effect your Live has the console is already banned :)

plus safe your brother money on backing up his games via
Via verb disc's = 10 for £8 "my best buy"
cheap disc's 25 for £5 "every disc works perfect"

But the option is yours my friend.

if he is already banned on live might i suggest to RGH or JTAG your console plus you can save some money because you wont need the verb discs:)
