any chance that we could get a diagram with height width and thickness of the XLCD? i am sure that im not the only one who wants to be ready for when they get it. thanks in advance.

Starter for 10 (all dimensions approx) hope this helps:
Back Panel (Base) = 108mm x 43mm (including mounting points?)
Front Panel = 92mm x 40mm
LCD Screen = 75mm x 26mm
Thickness = 10mm (excluding 8 small lugs that hold front to back which adds another 3mm (13mm in total)
I haven't installed mine yet as I am waiting for some instructions :-(
I don't want to risk blowing up my xbox or wrecking the case.
Mind you this happened when I got my X3, I had to hold off installing it for about 4 weeks until the guides had been released and I had gathered enough info on how to do it - the price one pays for being an early adopter

Hello, is it possible :?: I heard about a key vault swapping... and other magic... but, am I going to be able to extract the required info from Fall 09 and import it into the 7xxx series dump from a different box? - not "unbanning" but downgrading and maybe reusing the box for homebrew?

Sorry but no. The Fall '09 (or any 8xxx kernel) update blows an e-fuse which prevents loading an earlier version of the kernel. This is why you can't JTAG an 360 if it is in the 8xxx kernel.
