when i go to install the new XLCD into my xbox im quessing that the case will have to be cut right if what is the best tool to do this with and how it is done

a Dremel is what ur lookin 4, but remember high RPMs melt the plastic, and if ur not good with a Dremel you could have a messy cut and a crap installation on your hands. plus i would say if u have 2 go out and by the tool 2 do the job, consider what else are u going 2 use it for? have u ever needed 1 b4? have u ever used 1? point is that if ur unsure of your quality 2 installations, you may be better 2 wait and get the X3Control Panel, it'll be a new front for your machine and come with the LCD already installed in it, cleanly, along with the switches built into the front panel, 2 USB ports(they over ride ports 3&4), and an empty slot for the IR add-on witch will allow u 2 shut the system on/off, I myself ain't buying my X3CP unless it comes with the IR mod, so I may wait a lil bit till they finish designing it
Kreon drive can't be used for backups anymore?
I've been using a kreon drive now for awhile now for all my backups. I use Xbox Backup Creator to rip my games, and then I use CloneCD to burn those images to a disc.
I've been reading around on the forums now and I've read some posts about how the kreon drive no longer can rip the SSv2.
I'm using the new LT 1.1 on a LiteOn drive 360 for playing my backups, so what does that mean for me? Does that mean that games that use SSv2 won't play or will they just be detectable? I guess I don't quite understand the new SSv2 and how it applies to the LT firmware.
I just want to know what my options are for making future backups now. Is my only option to get another drive and flash 0800 on it? or is there some updated firmware for the kreon? or is it possible to just use AGBX to some how patch the SSv2 into the backup image? Otherwise my kreon drive is pretty well useless right? Quite a few questions I suppose.
I'll continue searching the forum, but if anyone can help point me in the right direction or let me know the links on some literature on the current correct backup process for LT 1.1. I'd be very grateful.

you can use kreon to make the backup then use abgx database to d/l the ssv2 files to patch em

I know you know your stuff from your previous posts. Is there any updated tutorials anywhere on correctly using Abgx to patch games.
I know the program has a lot of extra option toggles and I'm not sure what is required to correctly patch SSv2 and the newer games for LT.
I just don't want to have a toggle check that doesn't need to be checked that could potentially cause problems.
I'm seeing a few tutorials around on the net here, but I have no idea if they are current or not for the newer games.

the is a number in blue next to the (wave) column - click it
will list all DMI/SS combos in the database
find one thats ssv2 (it tells you which it is)
download the 2 files
then just below it is a link to instructions

So kreon drives are like OLLLD! seriously they were made up ages ago i think, like 2007 or sumin. anyway just use wxripper, or do what most of us do but im not saying tht cos we could get in trouble.
