I'll second that - It would be great to see some pictures before I get going with the Stanley knife & drill!

I might end up having to get the new control panel - because without some guidance on how to fiit the XLCD I will probably need a new one after attempting to install without instructions (says someone whose x-box is currently in pieces and who is thinking how the @?*& do I fit this thing) :D

OK - I have now fitted it as follows:
1. I have positioned it roughly the same as the pictures at the start of this thread but with the left hand side of the panel lining up with the the left hand side of the controller port nearest the middle.
2. I removed the front panel, and removed the small circuit board (CD eject and power on/off) as well.
2. Using hacksaw, Stanley knife and dremmel drill (with cutting disc) I cut out a rectangular shape to fit the dimensions of the front of the panell. A bit of judiscious filing and cutting a it fits the front panel OK.
3. I then had to remove the metal prongs on the front of the inside of the lid so that they didn't foul the LCD. I also had to cut back three plastic positioning lugs in the front roof of the lid.
4. I then cut out the metal panel (with grill holes) which is positioned in front of the disc and behind the LCD as it wasn't allowing the LCD to be corerectly positioned.
5. I also had to remove a small triangular shaped piece of plastic from the front of tha case which holds the front metal grill in place (front bottom corner).
6. I then put it all back again - including fitting the new pro switch (with buttons that light up).
7. Fired unit up and all is working except I can't read the LCD screen (even though it is enabled and glowing blue) - I shall start a separate thread on this.

Xecuter 3, the pro switch and XBMC are all working.

Hacksaw....Yikes!! Didnt think I would ever hear Xbox and Hacksaw in the same sentence!

and just turn your knob on the X3 to adjust contrast.

Yeah it will be sold with the control panel per other posts here.

You could mount it with dbl sided tape if you want but would be alot nicer if you cut the hole and mounted it.

Where are they selling it for 20 overpriced?

Thats NOT what im talking about. On the actual X3LCD Screen ......like where its circled........there is a cutout on the LCD. Look at the piictures on Xecuter main page and you will see the place. its right above the connecotr on the lcd.

I have the same gap on mine after I installed the X3LCD.. It's because that's where the connector is. I personally think it would be better if the connector was on the other side, because it's awfully close to the power button's circuit board, and hard to fit in. If you cut it to shape, it's going to be there.. not sure how you would fix it. I don't think it will fit any other way. I installed mine a little higher, and actually ended up cutting into the top piece of the xbox case.. I don't advise this, because you have to cut more metal and some little black rivet things to make it sit flush.
