JTAG Xlink Kai

hi all

trying to get Xlink Kai to work on my Jtag.

fowarded my router to port 30000
downloaded and installed kai app on laptop and booted it.
click kai blade in fsd 2.1 but it can never find and login on kai?

any ideas?

anyone been successfull with this?

Unless I'm mistaken, you can't use Kai over a wi-fi connection.

Took me ages to get it working.....

Make sure you plug you Xbox directly to the router.
Go to Xlink Configuration on LAPTOP and choose the 'allow remote UI' setting. Then sign in to Xlink on FSD.

Worked for me

sorry it is all on wired network with a o2 wireless box II router.

update:well not been able to play once i join a room for some reason.
trying the most popular game black ops zombies.other people r there and there playing but i just sit waitng patiently in chat part.i got tu8 so can't see why it don't work?

I messed around with it a little, but it was always a little hit or miss.

But (I think), you have to make sure the game you are using has the current update.

I shall tell you why i found allot in there are not using TUs on blur so what i'm telling you is if you have a tu and the OP does not you can't join them, you need to be the same or no dice so ask what tu they are using in chat if they are not using any remove it.

i got tu8 for black ops and have all dlc.it's all there in nxe and when i play the game (all dlc maps ect).
i know how to host
when people join your game ur hosting u click launch game and it loads your game (and presumebably makes everyone elses game boot too) then go to multiplayer and system link.

just wish i could join a lobby

pretty sure the guy in lobby with me had tu8 as he has god mode and no clip and he got a into a game with someone who had no tu's wierd

blur i gave up as no one there much.tried most popular game black ops

Not happening one with a tu and is host your not going to connect to him with no tu don't care what stories your hearing lol if ye are not playing the exact same game eg. one with a tu and one not you wont connect simple's

really i was under the impression you couldn't use the wifi with xlink without the ping limit patch

i would imagine you should be more than able to use it if you have the ping limit patch, as being over the 360 ping limit is what restricted you from using the wifi on xlink kai

i could be wonrg but this is just what i thought

i see people mentioning TU is this title update or some thing?

i thought with the latest dash launch 2.22 includes ping patch?
is this the order of things-
boot kai on pc and login
boot fsd and login to kai on kai blade
click play online.
choose game i.e black ops
find location my case UK and hopefully find some players
wait for host to launch game which will then boot your version of game from fsd

if your hosting-
wait for players to join your room
then tap yellow button to launch
this will then boot/load your game
go to multiplayer then system link and hopefully the people that joined your room before will show up there

i never used wifi all my setup is wired lan

i just wanna play a game any game but can't lol

Make sure your Xlink Kai Config is set like below and again in chat ask the host is he using a TU or not this is important if you want to connect to him.
Make sure your using the right engine as well kaiEngine-7.4.21-win32

cheers johnny i did have it all setup that way just the auto login box i ticked extra.

when i check kai diagnostics its tells me
your orbital server is france
public ip=blah blah
public port=30000
network reachable:not yet

so do you think this is the reason (the network bit) i can't play?

i had black ops loaded (logged into kai in fsd too) and on multi player and system link and searching for a game at the time) on jtag.

It sounds like your not linked can you see the Mac address of your console in Xlink Kai gui settings on your pc have a look over here you might find out more >>> kai xlink tuturial

can see my ip address but not sure where to look for mac address

i deleted some settings for port fowarding in my router as i was port fowarding for my xbox as well as my pc. now it's just for pc.

i got given some advice by someone on kai to boot black ops from games folder in fsd (but not log in to kai on fsd) and search for games in system link ect. then to login to kai on pc and should be able to join a game but this didn't work either?

iam at a loss for now.

good news is since i made port fowarding just for pc it now says in pc kai gui diagnostics that iam network connected. but still no option to push yellow to play a game in a room just yellow to host a game.

iam not using a static ip btw as it says to in guides.

i'll keep trying and report back

so ummm... why does xlink tell me to download 7.4.22 when that is what i just downloaded and installed...or is that just a general msg alerting ppl there is a new version?

my xbox 360 on kai on pc is detected as ps2 lollllssss but still no joy.

might try the direct link to laptop with lan cable and laptops wifi. failing that will try my live console.will report back

ahh see i have 2 NIC ports on my crappy 9XXmhz pc so i just run the 360 in one port and run the PC to the wireless bridge that connects to the repeater that connects to the interwebs XD
