I have installed the universal solderless adapter(i checked the connections about 50 times already they are tight) The d0 is in the right spot. When i boot up the xbox with the chip enabled the blue led lights up, but the flashbios screen attempts to load then scrambles. If i disable the modchip and reboot it loads the flubber screen then frags and gives me error code 7 ( I still have the dvd rom and the HD disconnected.) It seems like there is something wrong with the chip? I try having the switches set to bank 1 and 2 but it makes no difference.

I think it is a version 1.4 , it was produced 2003-07-31.

The box the chip came in says xecuter 2.6 CE

The universal adaptot is an Xodus.

PLEASE help me before i lose my freakin mind. I cannot get the flashbios screen to load. Once i get the flashbios screen to load I will be fine. I have done the bios flashing part before, but this is my first actual chip install.

What sort of AV cable are you presently using on your Xbox? I've read that FlashBIOS does not support the higher end outputs, the recommendation is to use the stock Xbox cables.

if the box is booting up with the M8 bios then you can use a program called FlashX to flash a new bios to your chip

simply ftp the program over under you applications of your dash with a folder named bios, with the bios of your choice in to the root of a drive (c,e,f,g)

disable the flash protect and launch the program and follow the onscreen prompts of which drive the bios folder is under, and which bank you'd like to flash
