XOR Hack Needed for CB 9231 message while writing ecc to NAND

I'm wondering if someone could offer me some advice as most of the RGH tutorials are badly dated. I might have mistakenly followed some of those advices and have irretrievably locked myself from achieving the glitch hack.

All of the tutorials suggest a RGH2 for my Xbox 360 Slim 4G with any version of dashboard (tutorials were dated and at the time of their publications dashboard was at 16xxx). My Slim was at 12416 and I went on a forum asking why J-runner and others would create image with different versions of dashboard. The answer I received was that there was no reason not to use the current 17458. So, I thought I would save myself update trouble if I updated my Slim to the current version first before installing the glitch board. After all, I made tens of copies of NAND and thought of downgrading if bad things happened.

I updated then read more updated NAND and proceeded with the ecc image write which failed. There was this * XOR HACK NEEDED FOR CB 9231 message.

Since I haven't got the CPU key, am I screwed? Is there any other method to obtain the key?

You can RGH any dashboard, if you have a Trinity or Corona

To RGH, you have to identify what motherboard you have, then you can buy the proper items needed to achieve the RGH, you would need a glitch chip and anything else your console requires such as the postfix adapter or the 4gb qsb kit

You can't downgrade it. Just flash the original nand (the most recent backup) and then write XeLL.

BTW it doesn't matter if you are not on the most recent dash since you'll have to rewrite the whole nand with XeBuild after getting the CPU Key.
