What do you mean?!? The X3_1959.bin bios is made for the X3 chip on Xbox v1.6 only. The X3_1959_v16plus.bin supports both the Xbox v1.6 and v1.6b. Is this wrong?

According to the README.TXT file that was in the ZIP with the BIOS's the X#_1959.bin is for v1.0 - v1.5 the X3_1959_v16Plus.bin is for v1.6/v1.6b versions.

Just to satisfy my curosity I reflashed my X3 on a 1.6 Xbox with the X3_1959.bin and it FRAGS on bootup thus supporting my post. I then reflashed with X3_1959_v16plus.bin and it boots fine.
This was exactly my problem.
I did a 1.0 with an X3 a week and a half ago... no prob. flashed the 1959.
Did a 1.6 moments ago with the LPC rebuild board.
flashbios was fine
flashed with 1959 FRAG
Searched the forums, found this thread.
Used the suggestion (ie: read the file that comes with the bios)
FLASHED 1959_v16plus
Works like a charm.

My nephew brought the unit back to me to work on again and I finally can get the config live screen to come up, so that part is now working, the only thing left is why it won't go to any of the dashes OTHER than the ms dash. I've gone into the bios and made evox the priority dash.
While doing th evox install I've tried both new install retail hdd and new install upgraded hdd. Both present the same problems of going to the ms dash.

I read in another forum that users were having problems with CDRW discs, thus even though I could boot from the CDRW and it "appeared" as though it was doing the install, believe it or not, it wasn't!!
I decided to create the install disc on a DVD-R. That did the trick. It will now boot to evox.
I want to thank all those who had "helpful" suggestions instead of simply making comments about "literary prowess". There is a ton of information to go through and sadly, while I'm impressed with X's bios over the last few years I have to agree with others, that the tut's need reorganizing and reformatted to be able to printed out. I tried three different mfg's printers and the tut's were way to wide to print on standard 8.5x11. I won't make these comments without offering to reformat them for the site. If this is something you'd like me to do, please let me know.

Just wondering if anyone has backups of the stealthfiles? Seems this DDOS attack is serious and may be some time till it comes back.
