Ive made so many threads now about diffrent issues with this same Jasper 512, not just to do with the coolrunner, other problems as well, I keep getting 0022 when booting to normal dash with coolrunner installed, how do i fix it? Ive checked the solder points, on boot up the green light flashes every 5 seconds and then it goes to RROD after about 5 attempts, sometimes it will boot normaly, whats wrong with it? I've moved the underside wires away from the coils indicated on another post, i've checked the solder points, all look fine, I read that 0022 means that something is drawing too much power from the board, obviously it must be the coolrunner, so what do i do?

Try sodder red wire to j2c3-2 in stead. See if that makes a difference.

Ok I just unsoldered the orange and red wires fully from the xbox, xbox boots fine. I'll solder the orange wire to the alternate point under the board and the red wire back on later, for now though thanks peeps :).

Thoughts are you're doing something seriously wrong.

I've now done about 50 RGH installs, each of them work without problem.

The biggest factor in all installs is the workmanship unfortunately.

care to point that out please?
J2C3-2 is a switched 3.3v point. Only draws power on boot. Switches off when you shut down console.

Dont think thats gonna solve your problem thou ;)

Yeah it must of been my orange wire install, sorry forgot the names of the points, out of all the points it just didnt look as "clean" of a install. Now my xbox boots fine and without the freezing 5 minutes after a successful boot! Going to wait till new dash and ggbuild and i'll install it all :). Thanks TX

Well thanks everybody for your answers and help, I've soldered the 3.3v wire back to its pin, and used the alternate point for the orange wire for ease, soldered the blue wire actually into the hole instead of ontop If that makes sense (read a LONG time ago with the old lpt programmers that soldering the wires into the holes instead of ontop of them improves it. All I need to do now is install ggbuild for the new dash when its out, possibly install a 68nf cap if boot times are slow, and it's ready to role, oh and to Martin C: you asked me whether the background downloads were on in a post a while back,... well.... they were lol. I changed that and turned them off, I hope now my Xbox should be working like a dream.

TL;DL: Thanks a bunch everyone.

P.S: Is it worth replacing the mosfet that controlls the fan power under the motherboard or just leave the fan drawing 12v from the drive socket?
