Your new xbox case?

I am going to buy a new xbox, and X3 with your new front. I was also planning on using it for live, so I was looking into the extender so I can have all my games on the second drive and still have the original hooked up for live.

My question is, should I hold off for your custom case for the xbox, or is this something that is a long time away?

If it is coming out soon, will it support 2 HD with a switch?

Thanks in advanced for any reply, and I just want to say Thank you guys for the best modding hardware and software I have ever installed from PS1 to now, I look forward to seeing what the next xbox mods will be from you guys!

no one (not even xecuter to the extent of my knowlege) knows the full details of this case, only that it will happen. If you know xecuter's history of releasing things though, the first quarter 2005 mark translates to second quarter 2006 ^_~. If you want to mod right now id go ahead and buy the front panel. Im pretty sure u can sell it off to someone if u want the new case too. If you dont have tons of extra cash to spare though id hold off till the point where you cant bear not having a front panel or case.

I dont think anyone can tell u till its actually out. I also think xecuter wont respond to you (nicely that is) since xtender is a rival product to xecuter.(Yay team xodus and their P.O.S products/alliances)

What I would do is use a dremel and cut out a small notch in the back of your case so you can run the IDE cable out the back of your xbox with the case closed, and get a molex extension cable so you can just set the hard drive on top of the xbox. Then just manually switch them when you want to play on live. Its cheap, easy, and you will get a little bit of modding experience. Here are some pics of my xbox with this mod. Its a little ugly but it works. http://mleh.net/shibz/xbox/back.jpg

Its compatible with the xtender, since the xtender doesnt replace any parts of the xbox. The xtender is essentially a large metal spacer that fits between the the main case encloser and the top cover.
