Ive got a Zephyr (4578) and it simply wont glitch, well it has done twice but out of maybe 100 boots. Ive tried the many different capacitors that people are having success with on Jaspers but nothing works. Ive tried programming the coolrunner with every possible file and ive used all the different programs to generate ECC files.

If anyone has had success with a Zephyr i'd love to here any suggestions.

Thanks

All I could say is, check soldering is neet and clean, make your .ECC with 360 MultiBuilder v0.4 or python, then just wait 15 minutes, if it doesnt glitch atall then I dont know whaat i can do to help. No need to try keep programing the file, 99.9% of the time the coolrunner will be programed correctly assuming you selected the correct file.

There's certainly nothing wrong with the soldering mate but i'll wait a bit longer and see what happens

I've had to give up on my customers Zephyr, it does boot but its so infrequent that its unusable by anyones standards. This is the first console I've failed to glitch and its really pissed me off :mad2:

Mine works pretty well, Glitches in the first or second flash most all of the time, here's what I have done:

Installed QSB
Flashed CR with Zephyr
Built my image.ecc with 360 multi build .3
Flashed that over with Jtag tools 4.23, power cycle the console and used eject to boot to Xell, It booted right up
Got CPU key and placed that and nand in 360 multi build .3
When I built the image I selected NOT to add Dashlaunch
I then put the Nandflash.bin and xenon.elf files on USB drive and boot to Xell and Xell found it and flashed it, I then power cycled the console and it glitch on first flash to NXE
The other thing is my wires on the bottom are free floating other than a bit of hot glue near the solder point and the MB is setting in the metal cage
Hope this helps someone

Tried all that, with and without patches but other than the 2 successful boots, it just wouldn't work.

Could you put some close up pics of everything, it just doesn't make sense, I have the same board, do you think point "A" is not connected well? maybe resistor got too hot some where, I hate giving up.

Zephyrs have always been a problem to work with, RGH or Jtag so its its nothing new. Its certainly nothing to do with my work anyway because i've triple checked everything and i do this pretty much every day. I've also done a falcon, and 2 slims tonight, all 3 are working perfectly so on this occasion i'm putting it down to a stubborn console and i've had to admit defeat.
