ANSWERED Zephyr board causing problems

I'm trying to perform RGH on Zephyr v2.0 cb 4578 and i get flashing green light on coolrunner and solid red light. Its set to nor and phat. I got 3 successful matching nand dumps using jtag tool and i created my .ecc image with multi builder. when i flash nand back to stock it boots retail dash 14699. I used a multimeter to check solder joints and i recently RGH a falcon board with hardly any trouble.

Any help would be appreciated.

zephyrs can be a real ball ache to glitch mate. you can try the falcon jed file on them other than that its changing wire positions to find where it likes it. only one of the 2 i've done worked. the other would glitch xell and the dashboard once but never again so i put it back to stock and sold it after an epic battle. sorry thats not much help mate just stick to the recommendations of keeping away from those coils and seperate the green blue and yellow wires as best as you can( i put mine through different holes around the southbridge) and shield them where possible.

i was also wondering if trying to use the falcon files would work some people said that it does but i was just wondering how to get a falcon.ecc file?

if you use jtag tool to write the jed file to the coolrunner just select falcon after the first screen and it flashes it for you, make sure you set the coolrunner to prog and watch for the green light to let you know it programmed. don't rely on jtag tool telling you it did, the green light comes on briefly during the chip flash and if this doesn't work its the same process to put the zephyr one back on again

the ecc is wrtten to the nand not the coolrunner, thats a jed file. you want falcon jed on the coolrunner but still make the correct ecc for a zephyr.

kk and another weird thing about my board is that the power port looks like a falcon but when i use 360 flash tool it says its a zephyr

Some Zephs just will not work. I have one that I played around with for over weeks. Got it to where it would boot xell without fail, but the dash boot behavior was never reliable after first glitch boot. Even tried different CRs on it... Used same CRs on a slim and a BB 512 jasper and they both boot in under 5 sec. Good luck and if you have success w/ it be sure to post how.

kk i tried to put wires through different holes in the southbridge but that didnt work so i thought i would try to see if retail dash would still bout but now when trying to flash back to original nand i get usb_bulk_read failed.

ohp nevermind i unpluged and plugged back in the usb for the nand-x and it works now and booting retail dash

Don't use jtag tool to create your freeboot.bin as
I had problems the same as you with a zephyr console I ended up using multi builder as jtag tool was building it with the wrong cb, flashed that using xell and all was fine

i used multi builder but with no success i just sold the zephyr and im waiting for my new elite that i just bought to arrive. I'm just wondering whats more likely to come in an elite a jasper or falcon?

Could be either mate just depends on when it was made

Loads of people I know if just assume that an elite is a jasper

God knows why they think that

I just got 5 elites from ebay and they were all Falcons. Like the guy above said, its all based on MFR date really

I'm guessing it will be falcon the MFR date is 2008-04-08 so im going to assume its a falcon
