Mine is boot normally after original NAND , the cb look like a good CB for zephyr.
Many experts that check my solder work said that isn't the problem & also the two bad locks .

I'm gonna try the alternate points and let you know , maybe this is the final solution , untill now did 2 glitches both are falcon, didn't have any problem.

For the ecc I've tried multibuder 0.3 & 0.4 & the pig ggenrator & jtag tool all of them didn't help boot xell.

The most curios thing is way the coolrunner blink green light (mean glicthing) , dont care that my box will boot after 5 min , just boot !

I'm not sure if wire routing has anything to do with it but I never routed my wires on my Zephyr, I only secured them near the solder point and left them hanging and put it back in the cage, seems to boot on the first or second glitch most of the time

Any updates on this?

I'm currently in the same boat. Have done wire route have looped pll have done cap etc etc... Curious bit is that the CR won't send glitch unless switch is to slim. I'm certain this is indicative of a different hardware version for zephyr. if this is the case is there anyone that has successfully gotten a 4578 and had to use CR switched to slim?

I have not tried the falcon hybrid to zephyr stuff yet.

With as spotty as these zephyrs are theres got to be something, sneaky about them that is the reason for why, that is being missed.

naruto, are you using tx-coolrunner? if so switch to slim. does it flash green? what cb are you on? what dashboard?

if you aren't using tx-coolrunner look up the wiring for they digilent cmod-2 for slim wiring. try that way and see if is flashing.

Im using tx-coolruner. i switch it to slim and it does not flash green. my dash is 13604 and cb i dont remember but is a zephyr
this is weard one of my nand say cb is 6750 and another says 4578

My Zephyr wouldn't boot with either slim or phat selected (although it did flash green with both). Also tried the capacitor for the heck of it and no XeLL/Display. I've just chalked it up to a Zephyr being a Zephyr, have unsoldered everything (although can't get the QSBs out of it) and it works fine with the stock Nand put back onto it.

Does the nand say that after you make the ecc?

man there has got to be a way to do these zephyrs chalking it up a sh*t board is lame...

Try putting a probe or similar on the CPU_RST point on the coolrunner with it switched to Phat, does it make the coolrunner light? Mine does so I'm wondering if adding additional wire or maybe even a resistor to that point might help

My problem Zephyr is CB 4578. Wiring is spot on and multimeter checked. Green light glitches reliably as it should but doesn't boot to Xell no matter how long it's left. Wires have been shuffled around to elliminate interference. Tried switch in Slim position but I don't get any green CoolRunner LED in that mode. Out of desperation I've tried/failed and removed the Jasper cap. Returning Nand to stock will boot no problem. Generated ECC using just about every tool and every revision of each tool. I don't think there is anything else left for me to try short of removing chip and letting it live out it's life as MS intended :)

LOL - I found that some consoles - when I seat the coolrunner, and solder the wires to the various points on the board - the wires at the coolrunner end become jumbled together...make sure these don't cross too close to the 3.3V as this will stop the glitch

Was actually thinking along this lines last night along with what demonic was saying.

Wire length / loops / routing seems to be very sensitive on these.

I was unable to test last night but was purposefully routing PLL through those coil pins to see if that made a diff in booting it or not.

Another indicator of possible differences in hardware revs danxbmc doesn't get glitch attempts when switch to slim but when switch to phat yes.

danxbmc out of curiosity have you done rrod fix or any other things for this one? When you're trying this is dvd drive in out connected to power connected to sata but not pwr etc?

We can figure this out! haha

Hi mate, zephyr has never had rrod.
I have tried with drive connected and without. Usual behaviour. Without drive centre led on rol blinks rapid, with drive connected stays solid but the result is the same, no boot to xell.
Btw, its not like I'm a novice, I'm a seasoned Modder. years of soldering experience.
Total mind flummox.

AH! So, my buddy has a zephyr, v1.13 (which glitches...inconsistently...maybe heat issue), whereas I have a zephyr 1.10. What's everyone's zephyr version?

**Other notes, discovered that the TX Coolrunner which only attempted to glitch in slim is actually defective as wouldn't even glitch an old xenon i have laying around, so there's that.... Getting new one. Still having trouble with my zephyr seems that if the drive is in the rgh completely misses as it's too slow of timing and boots the fw unpatched sections ( >04f) cause a fast blink on power. This is good news. Can probably then adjust timing for this issue.

After an age of having it sat there mocking me, I've removed chip and put back to stock. Unless a new coolrunner XSVF file pops up that might make a difference I'm not even sure I'll bother trying again with a Zephyr.

well had a zephyr at hand that would glitch, threw the cool runner in there and it didn't. so im sure the cr is defective.

im going to try to build a shorter timing xsvf to see what happens....
