Hi There,

Apologies in advance I'm trying to track down a better camera than my iphone to take some pictures. Everything looks quite clean to me, if i leave the coolrunner in prog mode the box boots stock dash quite happily. As soon as i switch the coolrunner to nom and boot the stock dash does load eventually however once its loaded i have a 3rrod - 0022. I know this is generally to do with point a, so i tried desoldering point a and booting again with the coolrunner set to nom however the same thing happened. If i flash the ecc the coolrunner just blinks away forever. While this is happening I don't hear the fans changing at all. I have looked very carefully around point a and don't see anything I have disturbed. I have continuity tested point b to the resistor beside the qsb and this tests fine. I have also tried to cap between point a and gnd as per uber in another thread regarding a zephyr that wouldn't glitch. I'm not sure how to continuity test point a. I'm basically looking to get pointed in the right direction here.

Thanks

After more tinkering and moving my a and d wire around I was getting succesful boots into xell and ggbuild dash. However its quite intermittent now, I will boot it back to back to back 10 times or so all within 8-20 seconds boot. Then all of a sudden it will refuse to boot at all even if i leave it for a few minutes trying. Remove all power and leave it for 5-10 mins, try it again and still no boot. Randomly it will start booting again, when it does it will do 8-20 second boots again no problem until it decides to act up again. What could be causing this?! It seems super finnicky and I'm not sure whats causing it

I'll be honest - everything looks ok.

With the 68nF cap in place, does it blink as frequently?

Have you tried it with the Coolrunner set to SLIM mode?

I have not paid attention to the frequency of the blink, just that it does in fact continue to blink while i leave it there attempting to boot. When I get back today I'll check that. When I set it to slim mode the green light no longer blinks. Worth mentioning is that my original dump has cb 4578, when i build ggbuild with multibuild i tried both the cb 4578 and 4579 build, with the 4579 build the green led did not blink either.

one thing i have noticed is that the blue wire's solder isnt shiny, but more of a non-reflective silver color. should i solder suck out the old stuff and try some new?

the led blinks at the same frequency with or without the cap, approx ~6-7 secs apart. I did desolder the point and put the wire in it along with some new solder with same results

eureka! it giltches everytime 8-12 seconds ONCE the cpu is heated up to 70+ degrees. this is a used box i got extremely cheap due to dead laser when i pulled the heatsink off the cpu was badly discolored and had next to no thermal paste. i cleaned and replaced thermal paste and did xclamp fix. one of my times into ggbuild dash today i tried fsd to see cpu temp and was surprised to see it at 70-80 at all times with gpu at normal 50-55. i discovered if i held the fans off the cpu until they were full speed ~70 degrees it would boot almost as soon as the fans hit full speed, every boot after that is instant until i let it 2rrod by accident or maintain it around the correct temp with the fans. i'm going to reflow the cpu and hope for the best!
