I get 3 rings (0022) after 20-30 seconds. Right now I need help with the .ecc image first. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Yes I copy the text from DARKFiB3R's guide, so this can't be the problem. Flashing the .ecc isn't the problem.

The problem I know have is that the .ecc file i get is not good because of the SMC thing (see pevious posts).

Anyone know how I import a donor SMC into my nanddump?
I found this but I don't understand how to import it...
To get right SMC file for building of zephyr, etc fat xells, do the following:
1. Download http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9O2ZCC9W (thanks go to oliagyok360 for that)
2. Load nand.bin file into 360 Flash Tool v0.97. Can be found here: http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/xbox360pc/nandto..._Tool_v0.97.rar
3. Press Extract, check SMC, select folder and press OK.
4. You will get SMC folder with the file: SMC_dec.bin

Use this file to build xell for fats like that:
c:\Python27>python common\imgbuild\build.py nand.bin SMC_dec.bin common\cdxell\CDjasper common\xell\xell-gggggg.bin

I tried with 360 Flash Dump Tool but it's greyed out


BTW Zephyr CB should be 4578 or 4579, right?
My CB is 4571 is this a problem?

Try this:

Edit build.py in Multibuilder by inserting the following line:

[0xb74ae419,"Zephyr, version 1.9",[[0x1242,0x00,0x00]]],

So it looks like this:


SMC_patches = [[0xf9c96639,"Trinity, version 3.1",[[0x13b3,0x00,0x00]]],
[0x5b3aed00,"Jasper, version 2.3",[[0x12ba,0x00,0x00]]],
[0xb74ae419,"Zephyr, version 1.9",[[0x1242,0x00,0x00]]],
[0x9ad5b7ee,"Zephyr, version 1.10",[[0x1257,0x00,0x00]]],
[0x7e5bc217,"Zephyr, version 1.13",[[0x12a3,0x00,0x00]]],
[0x1d0c613e,"Falcon, version 1.6",[[0x12a3,0x00,0x00]]]]


Then run your original nand through Multibuilder and see what happens

The warning is gone :smile: thx a lot

I will try to flash the image to the nand later.

I still have a question. My CB is 4571, is this a problem because multibuilder says it should be 4578 or 4579. Can I change this and how do I do that?
What does CB actually stand for?

Zephyr Version 1.10 and 1.13 has CB 4578/4579 and Multibuilder only supports these two versions.

But with the patchset I gave you Multibuilder will hopefully patch Zephyr Version 1.9 that has CB 4571 and allow Xell to boot. But dont get your hopes too high up :)

CB is a bootloader code that does a basic hardware initialization. Dont think you can change CB but I'm not sure

i am in the same situation as op, none of the solutions work , the error goes away in multibuilder but it does not boot xell
