RGH Zephyr - RGH2

I just received this console:

without the DVD drive. The console boots OK to original dash.

There were some signs of previous RGH2 attempts.
Read NAND - ECC - Wrote ECC - hooked up CR2 rev.c. I had no green pulse. Checked and double-checked the wires, solderings were ok. I've removed the wires and ttried again with kynar wires, same result, no green light. I've used both, blue and double-shielded wire(connected to ground at one end) and CPU_RST cleaners made by myself(680 / 560 / 470 - 1k, 2k, 3.3k in all combinations). I only need to boot xell once to retreive DVD-key
I'm pretty confident that this is not a soldering issue. Sorry about the picture quality

here, the wire seems broken but it's just a picture artifact

My problem now is the debug light, I'll think about RGH-ing after I'll solve this issue

What timing file are you using on CR?

Additionally, what Jumper (1-2 or 2-3) Switch combo are you using on the CR rev C?

And do you have another CR you can test to make sure that's not the Faulty component?

Tried all jumper variations, yes, I'm trying with a rev.C. I'll try with another CR, but I'm pretty sure it'll be the same.

Different CR, same story

Strange issue:

Timing file: RGH2 C, Jumper 1 open, jumper 2 closed, I can see the DBG blink just for a split second followed immediately by RROD 0010, only on C timing file and with jumpers as I said.

Just checked, the console boots fine to dash with the original NAND

Anyway, I tried all jumper variations, as I said earlier, with all timing files for rgh2, the only blink of DBG I see is the one in the video above.

Just search the forum. I never heard any success stories about RGH2 on Zephyr.

SOLVED DBG led issue, I noticed that STBY_CLK point was a little wobbly, I thought that, after many attempts of RGH'ing pad was lifted, so I've soldered the blue wire end to R8C2(the pad before the resistor) and now I have DBG light as it should be. But, only on timing RGH2 C i get more than 6 flashes, all the others stop at 6 exactly(no more, no less). Didn't get to XELL yet, I'll try different combinations of wires / cleaners.

I was wondering, has anyone managed to get to XELL on an RGH2 Zephyr?

Really? Not a single XELL achieved for any RGH2 Zephyr? If that's true, then I'll unhook CR from the board and wait for a solution, maybe CR3 will do the trick.

cr3 has nothing to do with phats. I've rgh 2ed a zephyr

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

Lucky you, was it a full RGH or just XELL? Any info on the setup you had would be wonderful. Thanx

Hi, same for me :(
The switch on your CR it's set to SLIM or PHAT?
On my zephyr, debug led blink only on SLIM mode.
But no xell :(

Are you find any solutions?

RGH
cr3 has nothing to do with phats. I've rgh 2ed a zephyr.
A dedicated CR3 Pro Phat version is in progress - currently having fun with "un-glitchable" zephyrs and falcons
Is the above still valid?

I have a Falcon that needs a RGH2 at some point and have no problem waiting for the Phat CR3 version if it is still in the pipeline. If not I will just use a CR3 Lite to give me the best shot at a useable RGH console.

RGH
phat CR3 pro is in the works

i think Xecuter posted that it worked with jasper and falcons so far

most of the emphasis has been on slims, thus far
Cheers J, I will hang tight for the Phat CR3 Pro release before touching this Falcon then, I could do without the headache to be honest given the Falcons RGH2 reputation.
