I have a zephyr that boots up no problem without the drives connected. It glitches first shot every time. But as soon as I plug in the hard drive and/or the DVD drive the green glitch led on the coolrunner flashes and flashes and the console never boots. Anyone got any suggestions on what may cause this?

Only thing I've noticed is it seems like the green coolrunner LED seems to be flashing at the same time the DVD-ROM or the harddrive sstarts to spin up.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check your blue wire as well. I had one that would not glitch with the drive in because I had to much of the blue wire up top and was being moved by the dvd cables.

I had to replace the resistor at r4b24. Before it was not booting. I replaced it with a 33ohm resistor and now it boots as long as the drives aren't plugged int. Any suggestions on this?
Any chance of a good quality pic of where you soldered?

I can get picks later today, but I don't know how much it will help. Once I replaced the resistor and had the system up and running I hot glued it down to prevent it from pulling up.

I never thought just plugging a DVD ROM in would have prevented it from glitching or I would have tested first before putting hot glue down. At least I learned my lesson for next time lol.

Lesson learned here - don't hotglue. No need for it. Unless you're throwing stuff down the stairs, kapton or electrical tape is more than sufficient!
